Recreation Ground

Picture
At the back of the village hall car park is the recreation ground. The recreation ground consists of a large football pitch and activity areas for children.

The activity areas contain swings, climbing frames, a slide and an aerial runway for the older children as well as a separate younger child's play area. The playground, which was built following extensive fund-raising by villagers, was officially opened on the 28th June 2003 by the Chairman of the Greatham Parish Council of the time.

Each year, the recreation ground is used to host events such as the Greatham Fun Day and the Fireworks evening, organised by the Greatham Village Events Committee (GVEC).
